March 29th, 2011

Tuesday night, March 29th, Vi experienced breathing difficulty and peacefully passed away. Aimee was the caregiver on duty and took all appropriate action. However, Vi’s body was too frail. Dr. Davis believes Vi experienced pneumothorax, a rupture of the lungs.

It was Vi’s wish to pass away by natural means as opposed to being taken off of the ventilator. Her spirit is now free of her body.

While all of this is very sad, Vi’s love from the heart continues to live in us all.

We are formulating memorial service plans and will advise later.

Aloha,

Jan

  1. God bless Vi for all the happiness she gave to her many friends and
acquaintances. Her warm smile showed what was down deep in
her heart. That is, love for others without it having to have been
    conditional.

Now she has at last found perpetual peace and comfort in heaven.

  4. Vi was such an inspiration she was so radiant with Gods love and shared it with everyone she came in contact with, my own life has been greatly enriched from knowing her. She is in heaven now with the Lord and i believe he would have greeted her with "Well done my good and Faithful servant" Until we meet again.

  5. So little we know about the fire inside that must have burned so bright. Vi certainly glowed both from the outside as well as from the inside. She lived spiritually beyond where some would find it difficult, if not impossible, to carry forward. Her loss is a loss to all of us and her ever glowing spirit will be etched in our memories forever. Our deepest sympathies to her family, friends and most of all to Jan, her rock and ever caring husband...Jeffrey Long and Family

  7. I am so fortunate to have met Vi, however briefly. Her determination and cheerful spirit have been an inspiration to me these past two years, since I first participated in the Kualoa Ranch run. I extend my heartfelt sympathy to her family at this time. Much aloha, Christina Cotten
